MUIHC began offering full-spectrum medical services in September 2018 with the arrival of Teresa Vial, a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has practiced in a rural bush village in Alaska for the past seven years. Teresa holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Delaware and has extensive knowledge in the health care field, preventative disease management, and clinical skills. She has managed acute and chronic illnesses, and complex, multi-system disease processes in all age groups. Teresa provides a myriad of healthcare services including but not limited to: IUD insertions and removals, suturing/splinting and casting, punch biopsies, skin tag removal, mole removal, conscious sedation, joint injections and trigger point injections, Rapid Sequence Intubation, IV insertions, cardiac care and stabilization acute myocardial infarctions, and stabilization of all acutely ill and injured patients to a higher level of care.
