Community Services

Client Advocacy and Support

We advocate for our clients in all areas with the exception of legal situations. We assist our clients in referrals to appropriate agencies/organizations and assist in finding resources that are needed. Our goal is to support and help our clients achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Affordable Care Act

We will gladly assist people with enrollment, questions, exemption forms, and to explore their healthcare options. Better healthcare equals stronger families and stronger communities. Accidents and illness are not planned events. It’s important to be prepared. Do your part to stay healthy come and enroll with the Affordable Care Act today.

Computer Use & Internet Access

At MUIHC, we have a small 3 station computer lab that allows for clients to access the internet and work on any personal, school or work related items. There is also a printer available for any documents that may be needed to print, which is allowed free of charge.

Fax/Copier/Telephone Use

The Fax & Copy Machine and Telephone is open to the Native Community and is free of charge to use.

Job Announcements Listings

There is a Job Board to announce current jobs that are open in the community, as well as private ads for those who are looking to hire to do a job.  The Missoula County Job Service sends updates of job openings that are posted on our weekly pin board.

Montana Notary Public

MUIHC has Notaries on staff for clients at no charge, if you are in need of notary please bring a valid form of identification and that all persons identified on documents are to be present.

Sweat Lodge

MUIHC collaborates with the University of Montana to provide support of the sweat lodge located at Fort Missoula. The lodge is constructed on U of M property & there is a liaison that oversees the use of lodge. The Missoula Urban Indian Health Center refers clients to the lodge for regular sweats and also has use of the lodge for the Chemical Dependency Treatment delivery through the center.  If you are interested in attending or supporting the lodge with donations please contact Dana Kingfisher.
